What is the mat made from?
The mat has diatomite stone slats connected by a flexible backing. The slats provide the absorbent surface; the connections allow the mat to fold.
How does it absorb water?
The porous stone surface absorbs drips and releases moisture as it dries. Drying time varies with the amount of water, room conditions and airflow. Allow the mat to dry between uses.
Does the stone itself bend?
The individual stone slats stay rigid. The flexible connections between them let you fold the mat into a smaller shape for storage.
Which size should I choose?
Regular measures 40 × 30 cm (approximately 16 × 12 in). Large measures 60 × 39 cm (approximately 24 × 15 in). Measure the clear space beside your sink and allow room for the dishes you plan to dry.
